a bleeding heart.

Lilly couldn't believe what had happened. Everything seemed so... perfect. He loved her. She loved him. His daughter loved her and loved them together. Everything was... perfect. Then out of the blue he just kicks her out, chucks out her things, and says he's with someone else. She couldn't believe this was happening. She had feared Brett was a serial womanizer and would never commit, not truly, yet he had told her himself she had been wrong. She had believed him. Now here she was, her belongings burnt in a bonfire on the beach, with Lilly sat in a pub drinking her body weight in alcohol. She had done things she would never ever do to be with Brett. She was even the cause of Sherona, his ex-wife's - and SECOND wife's - death. She didn't mean to do it but she had accidentally pushed her into the barbeque. Lilly wouldn't hurt a fly. She'd never have an affair. She'd never ever hurt anyone even accidentally yet here she was. A murderer and an adulterer. All because of him.
She should die. She deserved to die. The only man she had ever loved and he'd left her. Just like her father had abandoned her, her twin brother, and her mother before either of the twins had been born. Why was Lilly even surprised? She was clearly nothing but a pile of cow turd. Nothing more, and probably a lot less then that. She was clearly not enough for any man or woman. She wasn't worthy of her own father's love let alone Brett's or anyone else's. Her face was littered with tears, her heart breaking inside as she downed her fourth white wine spritzer. Yes, that was as strong an alcoholic drink as Lilly could take. She was THAT good and pure of heart. If Sherona hadn't of died Brett probably would have never left Sherona anyway. He would have strung her along probably. Burying her face into the bar she sobbed although her sobs couldn't be heard over the pounding music from the dj. She was sat in the best nightclub in La Push.
Desperate for just someone to be there she grabbed her mobile phone and called Brayden, a friend. He was blind, sweet, sexy as hell, and well she'd never be enough for him. Lilly had known that before Brett broke her heart and soul but it was even more firm now. When he didn't answer she left a slurred voicemail saying she where she was and that he should come down amongst the sobs. Hanging up she wondered if she could die from tons of alcohol in her system. Right then Lilly actually hoped so. She didn't want to be in this world right now. She didn't want to be here, to be feeling this, and to be as broken as she was right now. She'd almost given up her virginity to Brett! Right now if she hadn't of left his castle when he tried to undress her she wouldn't still be a virgin, and she'd be even more worse off. This was hell. It had to be. She was dead and she was in hell.
Feeling a hand on her shoulder Lilly turned her head, crying, to see Brayden there. He was here! Without hesitation she stood up, flung her arms around his neck and buried her head into his chest as she sobbed her heart out. She didn't even notice the difference in his eyes. She was just so upset. Brayden was a god, and he deserved a goddess hence why she had never tried to flirt with Brayden or told him of her crush on him. It wasn't as if he'd ever feel anything like that for her anyway.

"He... he left me... for another woman..."

She sobbed, lifting her head to bury her face into the crook of his neck. Even though she was very depressed and broken hearted she still noticed how amazing he smelled.
